My name is Qian Yu, a fellow student at UCSB. I've aspired to advocate for sustainability and health for as long as I remember. It wasn't until I took a class for sustainable agriculture did I become so invested in supporting organic practices. It is a growing passion to spread awareness on healthy diets and environmentalism. I've always been drawn to saving the planet and I think one of the most efficient ways is by reforming the way we eat and produce food.

The belief that we do not have enough resources to feed everyone and prevent starvation is made up of false pretenses. We have the abundance, yet it is not allocated properly. Supporting local busniesses and defunding privatized food companies is one way to avoid mass production and waste. We need to shift our focus on quality over quantity.

People may consider it taxing and tedious, but with the direction that climate change is taking place, I don't think we can afford to disregard any action that helps or mitigates our negative impacts.

Thank you for visiting my website I hope it made a difference!
